Sycamore tree, Main Street, Pilton and road closure notice.

NNC Highways have informed residents of Main Street Pilton that the ancient sycamore on the highways verge adjoining Stable Cottage is scheduled for removal on Monday 11th & Tuesday 12th May. Full road closure will be enacted from 8am – 4pm. Given that this tree is more than 100 years old, the loss of this iconic landmark in Pilton village will be sorely felt.
